OneDrive

OneDrive is Microsoft's personal cloud storage. When you connect your OneDrive account to Ordalie, the files you keep there become available in your workspace, so you can browse them, search them, and use them with the assistant without downloading or copying anything.

This is a personal connection, tied to your own Microsoft account rather than to your organization, so you set it up for yourself. There are two ways in, and both lead to the same place. From your workspace, open the Documents section of the left sidebar and choose Connect a source. Or open Settings and go to the Integrations tab, where OneDrive appears among your personal integrations.

When you start the connection, you choose a level of access. Read Only lets Ordalie browse and read your files, which is enough for most uses; Read & Write also lets it create and upload files to your OneDrive. A Microsoft sign-in window then opens. Sign in with your Microsoft account and authorize Ordalie, and once you confirm, the window closes and your OneDrive shows up among your connected sources.

From then on your OneDrive files are ready to work with. You can mention them with @ in any conversation with the assistant, browse your OneDrive from the sidebar while you chat, and find files across the whole drive through Ordalie's search.

Permissions and access

To make this work, Ordalie asks Microsoft Graph for Files.Read.All when you grant read-only access, or Files.ReadWrite.All when you grant read and write, along with offline_access so the connection can refresh on its own. Your access token is stored securely and refreshed automatically when it expires, and you can revoke access at any time from your Ordalie settings or from your Microsoft account security page.

Common questions

Can I connect a shared or work drive? This personal connection links to the default drive of the signed-in account. For shared drives or organization storage, use the SharePoint connection instead.

Is there a file size limit? Files are read up to 10 MB. A larger file still appears in the list, but only its first 10 MB is read; the rest is truncated, so the assistant sees only the beginning of a very large file.

How do I disconnect? Open Settings and go to Integrations, find your OneDrive connection, and disconnect it. That removes the stored tokens and stops the sync.
