iManage

iManage Work is a document management platform widely used by law firms and legal teams. The iManage integration connects iManage libraries and documents to Ordalie so they can be browsed, searched, and analyzed from the AI assistant.

Availability and access

  • Organization integration, configured by an administrator.
  • Delegated OAuth connection using the authorized user’s iManage account.
  • Read-only access: Ordalie does not create, modify, or delete iManage documents.

Setup guide

Step 1: prepare the iManage application

  • Create or use an OAuth application for Ordalie in iManage Control Center.
  • Copy the Client ID / API Key and Client Secret / API Secret.
  • Confirm your iManage tenant URL, for example https://firm.cloudimanage.com.

Step 2: connect in Ordalie

  • Go to Settings > Organization > Integrations.
  • Select iManage and enter the iManage URL, Client ID, and Client Secret.
  • Start the OAuth connection, then authorize Ordalie in the iManage popup.
  • Ordalie validates the connection by listing an accessible library before saving the mount.

How it works

  • Libraries: Ordalie discovers iManage libraries available to the connected user.
  • Navigation: workspaces, folders, and documents are exposed as a file tree.
  • Search: documents can be searched by name and used in conversations or workflows.
  • Reading: files are downloaded on demand for AI analysis, with a safety limit on read size.

FAQ

Why is iManage read-only? The integration is designed to consult and analyze documents without risking changes to the iManage repository.

What if no library appears? Check the iManage user permissions, OAuth application settings, and tenant URL. Ordalie must be able to list at least one accessible library to validate the connection.
