Connect your Box account to browse, search, and use your cloud files directly within Ordalie. Upload files and create folders when write access is enabled.
Who can configure it
Any PRO user, from Settings > Integrations. This is a personal integration tied to your individual Box account.
Setup guide
Step 1: Connect your Box account
- Go to Settings > Integrations.
- Find Box and click Connect.
- Choose the access level:
- Read Only: Ordalie can browse and read your files.
- Read & Write: Ordalie can also upload files and create folders in your Box.
- A Box OAuth popup appears. Sign in with your Box account and authorize Ordalie.
- Once authorized, the popup closes and your Box connection appears in your integrations list.
Step 2: Start using your files
Once connected, your Box files are available right away:
- Use the @ mention system to reference files in conversations.
- Browse your Box folders via the workspace panel in chat.
- Search your Box content using Ordalie's search.
How it works
Ordalie connects via the Box API. Your access token is stored securely and refreshed automatically.
Key behaviors:
- File browsing: Full folder tree navigation with pagination.
- Search: Native Box search, including glob-based filters in workspace search.
- Path resolution: Navigate directly to folders/files by identifier.
- Write operations: When enabled, files can be uploaded and folders created through workspaces.

Frequently asked questions
Q: Does it work with Box enterprise accounts? A: Yes. The OAuth flow works with personal and enterprise Box accounts. In some enterprise environments, an admin may need to allowlist the app.
Q: Can I write to Box from Ordalie? A: Yes, if your connection is configured in Read & Write mode.
Q: How do I disconnect? A: Go to Settings > Integrations, find your Box connection, and click disconnect. You can also revoke access from your Box connected apps page.
