- The Ordalie team

No visible updates this week

This week, we primarily focused on internal technical improvements and under-the-hood optimizations. While these changes aren't visible, they help make Ordalie more robust and lay the groundwork for future features. Thank you for your understanding, and we're always happy to hear from you!

More precise legal terminology

Jurisdiction Terminology

We have updated how jurisdictions are named in the interface. Now, when you specify the legal framework for your documents, the terms displayed are those used in the legal field. This update simplifies the classification of your sources and enables the AI to grasp the legal context with the expected precision.

Enhanced reliability for docs & summaries

Your documents are more stable when sending

We've polished up the process for sending your documents. If there was ever a little snag or an unexpected error during your file transfer, the system no longer crashes suddenly. Sending is now more resilient and goes smoothly, even when faced with the unexpected.

AI Summaries are more accurate

When the AI provides you with a summary of your documents, it now does so in a more focused way. It concentrates on the most relevant information and gives you a readable result, right in the conversation. It's easier to grasp the main points without getting lost in unnecessary details.

Task & Document Management

Track your uploads in real-time

When you upload documents, you can now see their progress directly in the chat. No more guessing: a progress bar shows you the status of the upload, and you can even cancel the operation if you change your mind. This gives you more transparency and control over your actions.

Edit your document details

You can now refine your document information directly from the platform. If you need to specify the language, jurisdiction, or category of a file, a new section allows you to do so. This is useful for organizing your resources and for the AI to better understand the context of your requests.

Your info bubbles are more readable

We've made some adjustments to the small information bubbles that sometimes appear. Their text is easier to read and their display is more stable. We're always striving to make the interface as pleasant as possible for you.

Your clickable security links

Security Link Reliability

We've ensured that all links within the security modal are now fully operational. If you need to view our policies or detailed security information, you can click on them with full confidence: they will take you exactly where you need to go.

"title": "Favorite Documents and Conversations",

"content": "Favorite your documents and conversations\nYou can now mark your most-used documents and conversations with a little heart. This button is visible right next to each item. Once favorited, they'll appear in a dedicated section of your Documents page and in a special filter within your conversation history. No more searching – your essentials are now just a click away.\n\nSmoother navigation in your settings\nWe've refreshed the look of the settings page. You'll notice smoother transitions when moving between sections and a more pleasant presentation of the different options. It's now more comfortable to personalize your Ordalie experience.\n\nNew icons for your filters\nTo help you find your way faster, the "Recent" and "Shared" filters for your documents now display small, intuitive icons. It's a small detail, but it makes navigation a bit more visual and direct."

Chat: Clearer message display

Your chat messages stand out more

When you ask the AI a question or give it an instruction, your messages now have a visual style that clearly sets them apart from the AI's responses. This makes it easier to follow the conversation and instantly tell who said what.

Stable UI, accurate quotes

A more stable interface for your documents

You might have noticed that the chat panel could sometimes overlap with the document editor, making reading or editing a bit less comfortable. That's now a thing of the past: these two elements now coexist perfectly, for an always clean interface.

Clearer citations from your documents

When the AI refers you to specific passages in your documents to support its answers, these references are now presented more precisely. It's easier to find the source information and check the context in your original documents.

Copying documents from your external sources

If you use external sources like Google Drive or OneDrive, you can now copy documents from these locations with greater reliability. We've fixed a small issue that could occur during this operation, so your transfers go smoothly.

"title": "Chat: smoother experience and richer display",

"content": "Smoother AI in your conversations\nYou might notice it: the AI's 'thought bubbles' – those little indicators that appear while it's thinking – now smoothly disappear when it starts to respond to you. No more abrupt transitions; the experience is more fluid and less jarring.\n\nBetter structured and more visual responses\nThe AI no longer just displays plain text. It can now present its responses in distinct 'blocks,' which allows for clearer and more visual organization of information. For example, if it generates a chart or a table, it will appear as a standalone element, easy to read. This is the beginning of a richer and more interactive information presentation in the chat.\n\nA more pleasant interface for your eyes\nWe've made a few visual tweaks so that dark mode integrates better into the chat and on your documents. It's more cohesive and easier on the eyes, especially if you spend long hours on Ordalie."

Enhanced document stability

This week, we've made sure that your documents and the information you handle always display reliably. We've implemented adjustments to help the platform better manage certain network responses, preventing any unexpected errors that could disrupt your reading or the display of your content. You can continue to work smoothly, without a hitch.

Ordalie consolidates its foundations

Platform Improvements

This week, our teams primarily focused on Ordalie's internal structure. These adjustments, which you won't see directly in your interface, ensure better platform stability for your daily legal work and pave the way for exciting new features. We remain committed to providing you with an increasingly reliable experience.

Document Filters, Clear Citations

Precise Filtering for Your Documents

When working on a specific document, you'll now find options to filter the different workflows linked to it. This gives you a more focused view and helps you navigate through the tasks and processes specific to that document.

Your Citations Display Seamlessly

Whether from SharePoint or other document sources, citations now display exactly as they should. We've ensured no unwanted formatting disrupts your reading.

Ordalie in top form

This week, our teams primarily worked behind the scenes to strengthen the stability and performance of the platform. We focused on technical adjustments which, though invisible to the eye, ensure a solid foundation for your daily legal work and pave the way for exciting future developments.

No updates this week

This week, our teams have been working behind the scenes to prepare for some exciting upcoming developments. There are no new visible features in the user interface today, but stay tuned for upcoming updates!

Structured tables & snappy navigation

Your tables look sharp

The document editor has adjusted table styling. Borders and spacing define the content to make your clauses and figures easier to read. At the same time, the editor toolbar loads smoothly without any visual jump.

The interface responds instantly

Transition animations are shorter. Whether you open a menu or switch pages, the display reacts immediately to your click, saving you those few milliseconds that count.

Extended SharePoint & Loading Indicators

SharePoint opens up its libraries

Ordalie now accesses all your SharePoint document spaces (multi-drive). You are no longer limited to the main folder and can navigate through all your connected sources. On the Outlook side, your emails appear as you scroll for a wait-free reading experience.

File tracking in chat

When you mention a document in a conversation (via the @ menu), an animation lets you know if it is still uploading. You can see immediately if the AI has the content ready to answer you.

Immediate interruption

The cancel button now instantly stops the processing on the server. If you start an analysis by mistake, one click is all it takes to stop everything and get back in control.

Loading indicators & phone numbers

Status of documents being uploaded

When you add a file and want to mention it immediately in the chat (using the @ key), processing can sometimes take a few seconds. The interface now shows a loading animation next to the document name in your mentions list. This way, you know exactly when the AI has finished reading your file and is ready to use it.

Entering phone numbers

The phone number field now accepts more formats. You can enter your details (spaces, country codes) without the form blocking validation.

Preserved Fonts & Clean Design

Your Word documents keep their style

Ordalie carefully respects the fonts in your files. When you import or edit a Word document, the original typography stays in place, even for the specific fonts you use in your templates.

Action buttons get a lighter look

The buttons for adding documents and sources are saying goodbye to the blue background. They now appear on a white background and animate subtly on hover.

Adjusted drop zone

The context menu now condenses the file drop zone to leave more room for your main actions.

Fonts preserved & SharePoint extended

Your fonts stay intact

When you edit a Word document, Ordalie preserves the exact typography of your original file. Your font choices (Arial, Garamond, or your firm's style) survive the export without being replaced by the default style.

SharePoint accesses all your drives

The SharePoint integration now lists all your available drives. You can browse and import files from any shared folder you have access to, not just the main directory.

A compact import area

The menu for adding documents takes up less screen space. The display condenses import options to clear the view of your files. A handy detail: the Cancel button now instantly stops current processing on the server.

Sleek buttons & aligned comments

A lighter look for your imports

The buttons for adding documents and connecting sources have dropped their blue background. They now appear on a white background to blend in with the rest of the page, with a slight rotation of the icon on hover.

Perfectly aligned comments

If you collaborate on text, comments linked to grouped suggestions now line up exactly with the relevant passage. This prevents visual misalignment when multiple edits follow one another.

AI Suggestions & Tables

Table Layout

Inserting AI-suggested rows in your tables now fits perfectly with your document structure. You can accept suggestions without worrying about breaking your column alignment.

Import buttons & interface

Import buttons on a white background

The buttons for adding documents and connecting sources have a new look. They’ve traded their blue background for a white style. The icon rotates slightly when you hover over it, giving you a visual cue that the action is ready to go.

Relevant tags & task cleanup

Your priority tags first

When you organize a document, the tag list now adapts to your needs. The three most relevant tags appear right at the top for quick access, followed by the rest of your labels in alphabetical order.

Control over progress indicators

The little bubbles showing the status of an action (like analyzing a file) now have a close button. If a task is finished or seems stuck, you can click the "X" to clear your interface without waiting.

Watch the AI work live

Your tasks at a glance

When you request a document analysis or translation, an icon now appears in the navigation bar to track its progress. You can watch the percentage rise in real time. This lets you know the AI is processing your request while you continue browsing elsewhere on the platform.

Quick View & Clickable Links

Clickable documents in chat

When a discussion mentions or includes a specific document, the filename turns into a clickable link. Just click it to open the document instantly. It’s a handy way to check a source cited by the AI without having to hunt for it manually in your list.

Quick file preview

A small eye icon now appears next to your documents. Clicking it gives you an instant preview of the content. This helps you spot the right file at a glance before deciding to open it fully or use it.

Editable Analytics & Charts

Adjust your analysis questions

You can now edit a question after asking it in the Analysis tab and add new documents on the fly in the tabular view. The AI generates a new answer while keeping the history: navigation arrows let you switch between versions to compare results.

An editor true to the original

The writing interface automatically adopts your document's dominant font to match your visual style. Plus, charts and diagrams from your Word files now appear correctly in the editor.

Identified suggestions

When collaborating on a text, edit suggestions now clearly show the author's email. You’ll know immediately who is proposing what, without having to decipher technical IDs.

Accurate Word & PDF layout

Pixel-perfect Word documents

When you export a document after working on it in Ordalie, it now faithfully preserves its original formatting. Table borders, background colors, font sizes, and line spacing remain intact. Even images and graphics in your `.docx` files stay exactly where they should be.

Protected PDFs are accepted

Some PDF files using protected fonts used to block analysis or display. We’ve adjusted how we read these documents: you can now import and work on them without running into any errors.

Updated Chat + Christmas theme with snowman

Reorganized Chat with message versioning

You can now navigate between different versions of your conversations and create branches to explore multiple lines of thinking. The interface gains visual clarity with smoother transitions.

Christmas theme until January 2nd

Discover our snowman with eyes that follow your cursor, swaying tree branches and falling snowflakes. Perfect for making your legal research more festive!

New Documents page and advanced search

Advanced search

You can now use Google-like search syntax to find your documents more easily. Use quotes for exact phrases, boolean operators, and filter by file type or date.

Redesigned Documents page

The Documents page has been redesigned with a new, clearer interface. You benefit from a column explorer to navigate through your folders and better organization of your files.

Email attachments

Attachments from your emails are now automatically extracted and indexed, allowing you to find and view them directly in Ordalie.

New real-time collaborative editing with AI

Collaborative editing with AI: You can now edit your documents directly with AI assistance. Changes automatically sync between all connected collaborators.

Version history: Every document modification is now saved. You can view the complete history and revert to a previous version if needed.

Simplified onboarding: Your preferences and selections during registration are now properly saved to personalize your experience.

Changelog en

Color cursors for collaborating together 🎨

When you work on a document with your colleagues, you now see where they're writing thanks to colored cursors. No more wondering who's editing which part: everything is visible in real time, just like on Google Docs.

Dropbox connection

You can now connect your Dropbox account to Ordalie to import your documents directly. This joins the Google Drive and OneDrive integrations we already offered, so you can work with your files no matter where they're stored.

Better document upload

No more waiting after sending a document: you now receive immediate confirmation as soon as the file is received. This makes the experience much smoother, especially when you're importing several documents at once.

Improved European law search 🇪🇺

We've refined the way Ordalie finds and understands European regulations and directives. Results are now more accurate and better organized, saving you time when you're looking for a specific reference.

Redesigned discovery journey

We've completely redone the onboarding experience for new users. The goal: help you get to grips with Ordalie more quickly and understand what the platform can do for you from the very first minutes.

Ordalie remembers you 💭

We've added memory to Ordalie: it now remembers your writing preferences, your recurring cases, and your way of working. The more you use it, the more it adapts to your practice. And rest assured, everything remains private and under your control.

Simplified update notifications

When we roll out a new feature, we show it to you in a small window. We've simplified this: now, closing the notification is enough to make it disappear permanently.

Progressive search results display 🔍

Search results now appear as they are found, without waiting for the full loading to complete.

Sources panel redesign

The sources management panel has been redesigned to improve navigation and filtering by source type. We've also added website packs: you can now preload thematic sets of websites (legal, administrative, etc.) with a single click.

Optimized loading after each update

We've fixed a technical issue that could sometimes display an error page right after our updates. Now you automatically get the latest version without having to clear your cache or reload multiple times.

A little Halloween touch 🎃

We allowed ourselves a bit of whimsy: a discreet pumpkin with moving eyes appeared temporarily on the platform. Nothing that gets in the way of your work, just a nod to the season.

**Real-time collaboration on documents** 🤝

You can now work together on the same document simultaneously. Changes appear instantly for all collaborators, just like Google Docs. Perfect for reviewing a contract with your team or working with a client live.

Smarter and more robust web search

When Ordalie searches for information on the internet for you, the system now automatically tries several methods if the first one doesn't work. That means fewer failures and more complete results, even on hard-to-access sites.

Fewer unexpected errors

We've fixed several small bugs that could crash the interface in certain situations: confirmation windows that wouldn't respond, cookie banners that wouldn't hide, WebSocket connections that caused silent errors. All that's behind us now.

Enhanced frequently asked questions

The Pricing and Home pages now display a more comprehensive FAQ section, with answers to the questions we get asked most often. We've also refined the overall appearance of the public site for a more pleasant browsing experience.

Stability and performance

We've updated several technical components (Electron, Vite, Sentry, Go libraries) to improve security and overall stability. You won't necessarily see the difference, but it's what keeps Ordalie running smoothly.

**AI-generated folder descriptions** 🤖

Ordalie can now automatically write a clear description of your folders by analyzing their content. No more struggling to find the right summary: the AI understands the context and suggests a relevant description in just a few seconds.

**Our partners scroll across the homepage** ✨

We now continuously display the logos of the firms and organizations using Ordalie. A small animation that shows we're growing together and brings the homepage to life.

Security and reliability improvement 📊

New: we now use anonymized, aggregate signals with a security focus to detect bugs faster and strengthen reliability. No personally identifiable data.

**AI edits your documents** ✏️

Ordalie can now suggest changes directly in your documents, just like Word's "track changes" mode. You can clearly see what's been added, deleted, or rephrased, and you decide whether to accept or reject each change individually. We've paid special attention to version history: even after several rounds of edits, all suggestions remain accessible and you stay in complete control.

**Explanations to understand AI's choices** 💬

When Ordalie rephrases a passage or suggests a change, it can now add little notes to explain why. "I clarified this term to avoid any ambiguity" or "This wording is more in line with recent case law." It helps you understand the logic behind each suggestion, and learn along the way.

**Much faster large documents** ⚡

We've fixed a slowness issue that slowed down editing when your documents exceeded several pages. The interface now stays smooth even on 50+ page contracts with lots of pending changes.

Simplified technical architecture

We've unified our systems to make Ordalie more stable and faster to evolve. You won't see any visible difference, but it allows us to deploy new features much more quickly without risking breaking anything.

**New legal search** 🔍

We've completely rebuilt Ordalie's search engine. You can now query a much richer document base: legal texts, scholarly analyses, case law, and even mini thematic indexes. The search better understands your questions and finds relevant passages even when the exact words don't match. The result: more accurate answers, faster.

2025-09-26

**Step-by-step guided drafting** ✨

When you ask Ordalie to draft a document, the AI now asks you targeted questions to fully understand your needs before getting started. For example, it will ask about the context, the specific objective, or the key points to include. The result: first drafts that are much closer to what you expect, with fewer back-and-forths.

**Attach documents to your requests** 📎

You can now attach existing documents when you ask Ordalie to draft something. The AI uses them as a source of inspiration or reference, and automatically verifies that you have the right to access them. Handy for saying "draft me a contract similar to this one" or "use this template as inspiration."

Clearer subscription reminders

We've redesigned the emails that remind you to renew your subscription. They're now more direct, with a prominent button to update your payment information. Less text, more efficiency.

The AI knows when to stop

Ordalie now detects when it's going in circles or unable to complete a task. Instead of continuing indefinitely, it explains the problem and suggests a solution or alternative. This prevents responses that go off in all directions.

**More robust document analysis** 🔍

We've completely redesigned how Ordalie extracts and understands the content of documents you submit. It handles complex formats, tables, and long documents better. You should see fewer errors when you ask it to summarize or analyze a file.

**Improved overall performance** ⚡

We've optimized the engine that runs Ordalie internally: less resource consumption, faster response times, especially when several of you are using the platform at the same time. You should notice a smoother interface, particularly during peak hours.

**Migration to ordalie.com** 🌐

Ordalie is changing addresses: we're moving from ordalie.ai to ordalie.com. Your old links will continue to work normally, but you'll gradually see the new address appear in your emails and during payments. A small identity change for us, no impact for you.

Ordalie speaks your language

The AI now respects the language you've configured in your browser or that you specify in your requests. If you work in English, Spanish, or another language, Ordalie will adapt its responses and suggestions accordingly.

**Connect to your emails and drives** 📧

You can now connect Ordalie to Outlook, Gmail, Google Drive, and SharePoint. Once connected, these tools become directly accessible within the platform: the AI can check your emails, read attachments, and navigate your shared folders to help you work faster. The first attachments from Outlook emails are automatically displayed when relevant.

Comments that stick

We fixed a bug that sometimes prevented the creation of new comments on documents. Everything is working normally again, you can annotate your texts without any issues.

Improved contact form

When you write to us via the contact form, we now receive an instant alert on our internal tools. This allows us to respond even faster than before.

Enhanced performance and stability

We've done a lot of work under the hood this week: your document list loads faster, long processes (like analyzing large folders) are better managed, and we're closely monitoring response times to detect slowdowns before they affect you. Ordalie should feel smoother in daily use.

**Redesigned access management** 🔐

We've completely rethought how Ordalie manages your access rights to documents and workspaces. The result: when you open a document or navigate between your organizations, everything loads much faster. This is especially noticeable if you collaborate on many projects or belong to multiple teams.

More precise document permissions

You can now see at a glance who has access to each document, and Ordalie better understands complex situations (documents shared across multiple organizations, temporary access, etc.). We've also simplified permission checking to make everything more transparent and consistent.

Better organization status management

Ordalie now distinguishes between active members, pending invitations, and former members of your organizations. This prevents confusion and strengthens security: only actual members have access to shared documents.

**Search in your personal documents** 📂

We've laid the technical groundwork so you'll soon be able to search efficiently across all your documents, even when working with multiple organizations. Search will automatically understand which workspace you're in and only show you what's relevant to you.

**More accurate case law search** 🎯

We've improved how Ordalie finds relevant court decisions. The engine now explores many more candidates before showing you the best results, which significantly increases your chances of finding case law that's truly suited to your situation, even in complex cases.

Modernized infrastructure

We've migrated our entire database to a newer, more powerful version. You won't notice any difference in use, but it allows us to prepare for new features and ensure Ordalie's long-term stability.

Simplified internal organization

We've reorganized our maintenance tools so our team can respond faster when needed. Again, nothing visible to you, but it helps us stay responsive if you encounter any issues.

Document Versions and Translations

You can now manage multiple versions of the same document directly in Ordalie: translations, adaptations for different jurisdictions, or changes over time. The AI automatically detects the language, type, and jurisdiction of each version to help you stay organized. Handy when you're working on international cases or need to adapt a standard contract to different situations.

**Simpler Login on Desktop** 🖥️

We've added 6-digit verification codes as an alternative to magic email links. This is especially useful if you're using the Ordalie desktop app: you receive your code by email, type it in, and you're all set. Faster than switching between browser and app.

Improved Tag Organization

The tags you create to organize your documents are now better structured behind the scenes. In practical terms, this means Ordalie can suggest the right tags at the right time, based on your document's context.
