Google Drive

Connect your Google Drive to browse, search, and use your documents directly within Ordalie. The integration supports personal drives, shared drives, and Google-native formats (Docs, Sheets, Slides) which are automatically converted for analysis.

Who can configure it

PRO users with Ordalie admin privileges, from Settings > Integrations. This is a personal integration using Google OAuth.

Setup guide

Step 1: Connect your Google Drive

  1. Go to Settings > Integrations.
  2. Find Google Drive and click Connect.
  3. Choose the access level:
    • Read Only: Ordalie can browse and read your files (recommended).
    • Read & Write: Ordalie can also create and upload files to your Drive.
  4. A Google OAuth popup will appear. Sign in with your Google account and authorize Ordalie.
  5. Once authorized, the popup closes and your Google Drive appears in your integrations list.

Step 2: Start using your files

Once connected, your Google Drive files are immediately available:

  • Use the @ mention system to reference files in conversations.
  • Browse your Drive through the workspace panel.
  • The AI assistant can search and analyze your Drive content.

Google-native format support

Ordalie automatically converts Google-native documents for analysis:

This conversion happens transparently when the AI reads a Google-native file. The original file is never modified.

Advanced configuration

For organization-level setups, administrators can configure additional options via the mount configuration modal:

Q: Why does Google Drive require Ordalie admin privileges? A: Google OAuth integrations require Ordalie admin status due to Google's verification requirements for third-party apps.

Q: Can I connect a shared drive? A: Yes. After connecting, you can configure a specific Drive ID and set the corpora to drive to target a shared drive.

Q: What is the file size limit? A: Standard files up to 1 GB can be downloaded. Google-native format exports (Docs, Sheets, Slides) are limited to 10 MB by Google's export API.

Q: How do I disconnect? A: Go to Settings > Integrations, find your Google Drive connection, and disconnect. You can also revoke access from Google account permissions.
