We’re partnering with the Paris Bar Association to make Ordalie more accessible to member firms. The partnership focuses on work every lawyer knows well: gathering, comparing, and preparing the documents behind a matter.

This is where we want legal AI to be useful. Finding the same information across fifty contracts takes time, even when you know exactly what you’re looking for. Much of that preparation can happen before a lawyer reviews the points that need their judgment.

Legal AI built around the matter

We’re building Ordalie to help teams extract information during due diligence, check contracts for consistency, and prepare recurring documents. Each of these tasks starts with material that needs to be read carefully.

Take a contract review. Expiry dates, renewal terms, and the parties’ obligations don’t always appear in the same place. Bringing those details together makes comparison easier. The lawyer can then return to the clauses, understand the differences, and decide what they mean for the client.

We care about how that preparation carries through to the review. Time saved should translate into progress on the matter, with work the team can read and check.

Making the firm’s knowledge easier to use

A firm’s past advice, templates, and matters hold reasoning and drafting that its lawyers can draw on again. The challenge is finding the right document when a new question comes up.

With Vault, we offer an on-premises deployment of Ordalie so firms can work with their own document collections. The Paris Bar Association’s announcement also sets out our commitments for the offer: servers hosted in France and no retraining of models on client information.

For us, deployment belongs in the conversation from the start. The documents involved, where they are hosted, and how the firm intends to use them need to be considered together.
