Documents: import, preview, anonymization and shared projects

  • Import: the file picker accepts Excel workbooks, PowerPoint presentations, .eml and .msg emails, and images.
  • Import: Apple Pages and RTF files are imported as Word documents. A file in an unsupported format is rejected as soon as you upload it, with a message.
  • Documents: a CSV file opens in a preview as a table.
  • Documents: the More menu of a document, in your workspace or in a project, offers Preview to view it without opening the editor.
  • Documents: on a document open as a preview, Create editable version makes a copy you can edit. The original does not change.
  • Annotated PDFs: when you import a PDF, its comments, notes, highlights, underlines and strikeouts are kept in the document text, with their author.
  • Word: Translate asks for the language and scope; a whole document is translated in the open document, as tracked changes. Anonymize asks which categories to hide.
  • Download: Anonymize document also works for documents edited in the editor. Comments and tracked changes are removed from the file.
  • Anonymization: detected categories are hidden by default. Click a category to keep it visible. Items detected in the content are also hidden in the resulting file's title; review the output.
  • Documents: a document from another workspace shows a message telling you to switch workspaces to open it.
  • Projects: invitees of a shared project can read its documents and conversations, including those added later. These items show via project · read-only.
  • Projects: on desktop, drag one or more documents from the list into an active project you can edit to add them there.
