Challenges selects Ordalie among its “100 start-ups to invest in for 2026”
Paris, 14 April 2026. Ordalie has been selected by Challenges Magazine as one of its “100 start-ups to invest in for 2026”, in a list published on 2 April. This recognition from the business world follows the company’s “Legaltech – Innovation of the Year” award at the 2026 Trophées du Droit.

Following recognition within the legal sector, Ordalie’s inclusion in Challenges’ list draws attention to the fast-growing French legal AI start-up as a business. Beyond its technology for legal work, the company’s international ambitions and contribution to France’s tech ecosystem are now also in focus.
Built around the demands of legal practice and initially designed for law firms, Ordalie now serves numerous in-house legal departments, with plans to address legal needs throughout the business. The platform brings together authoritative legal sources, case documents and each organisation’s internal knowledge.
It supports the full legal workflow, from identifying applicable law and reviewing documents to drawing on precedents and internal expertise. This includes analysing individual contracts or entire document portfolios, and drafting clearly structured, well-supported legal documents.
Organisations across a range of sectors already use the platform, including SNCF Connect, CCCA-BTP and Mondial Relay.
An initial €1.8 million funding round helped fund product development and build a team of around fifteen people. Ordalie is now expanding beyond France to serve clients across Europe.
About Ordalie
Ordalie is a European legaltech company that develops an artificial intelligence infrastructure dedicated to legal work. The company currently serves more than 500 law firms and in-house legal departments and has over 67,000 active users.
Based on a question, a case file, or a contract submitted by a legal professional, the platform identifies the applicable law, reviews the documents, draws on the organisation’s precedents and templates, and then produces a structured, precise, and well-supported text.
It draws on both internal knowledge and more than 8 million legal reference sources.
Its technology is based on proprietary semantic search models designed for the French and European legal systems.
