Main Features

Assistant Mode

The Assistant mode is Ordalie’s main interface. It takes the form of a free-text field in the center of the screen, from which you can trigger just about anything: ask a question, request a rephrasing, analyze a passage, or generate a document.

This mode allows you to interact directly with the AI in a flexible, intuitive way without jargon. It understands what you write, even very simply, and responds in context, drawing on your documents, activated legal sources, and previous queries.

It’s the ideal tool for:

  • asking a legal question based on a document
  • analyzing or summarizing a clause or passage
  • obtaining a rephrasing or improvement suggestion
  • drafting a basic contract, letter, or quick note
  • exploring legal reasoning based on a specific case

The Assistant mode functions as a responsive and versatile work partner.


Workflows Mode

The Workflows mode allows you to execute well-defined legal tasks through guided interfaces, without using a free-form prompt.

Concretely, each workflow is a specialized tool that asks you for the necessary elements (documents, instructions, variables) then performs a predefined sequence of actions to generate a structured deliverable. It’s faster, more reliable, and more reproducible than an exchange with an assistant.

It’s also the way we now integrate some of Ordalie’s former functionalities: what we used to call “Analysis Mode” and “Drafting Mode” are now full-fledged workflows.

Core Workflows

🟦 Multi-Document Analysis

(formerly “Analyze”)

This workflow allows you to import multiple documents at once to extract structured information: stakeholders, important dates, contractual objects, sensitive clauses, etc.

The system organizes the results in a clear matrix. You can filter, export, and ask questions directly on the entire corpus. This workflow is particularly suited for:

  • contract review as part of due diligence
  • comprehensive synthesis of each element of a litigation file
  • flattening of multiple template documents

🛠 Document Drafting

(formerly “Write”)

This workflow allows you to generate entire documents (contracts, letters, briefs, proposals, etc.) from a title, a few instructions, and optionally reference documents.

You can also import your own templates so that the structure and style of the generated document respect your standards. It’s a quick way to produce a solid foundation, which you can then review, refine, or enrich in the integrated editor.

⚖️ Hearing Preparation

This workflow is specially designed to help you efficiently prepare a case file before a hearing. It analyzes all the documents you provide and automatically generates a structured summary including:

  • A chronology of key events in the case
  • A summary of essential documents and their content
  • Highlighting of strengths and points of vigilance
  • A clear overview to prepare your argumentation

This is a considerable time saver for lawyers who must prepare a pleading or intervention before the court. Instead of manually rereading each document, the workflow extracts and organizes relevant information in minutes.

🏢 Corporate Structure Diagram

When you work on cases involving complex corporate structures (holdings, subsidiaries, cross-shareholdings), this workflow helps you clearly visualize the architecture. It analyzes the documents you provide (bylaws, company registry extracts, shareholders’ agreements) and generates a structured diagram showing:

  • Participation links between different entities
  • Ownership percentages
  • Complete organizational chart of the structure
  • Relationships between shareholders and companies

This visual representation greatly facilitates understanding of legal and financial structures, whether for your internal analyses or to explain the situation to your clients.

Specialized Analyses via the Assistant

Beyond structured workflows, Ordalie’s Assistant can perform specialized analyses on direct request. Here are some examples of tasks you can accomplish simply by formulating your request:

📅 Chronological Analyses

Pin multiple documents and ask the Assistant to extract important dates to reconstruct a timeline. The AI automatically identifies key events and their temporal sequence.

📄 Document Comparisons

Pin two versions of a document and request a comparative analysis. The Assistant identifies differences, ranks them by importance, and provides you with a structured summary of changes.

💬 Comment Extraction

Import documents with annotations and ask the Assistant to extract and organize comments by author, theme, or priority.

Workflows mode is accessible from the dedicated section of the interface. It is available for all PRO users, as well as those on trial.
