Assistant mode

The Assistant mode is now Ordalie's main interface. It takes the form of a free field in the center of the screen, from which you can trigger just about anything: ask a question, request a rephrasing, analyze a passage, or even generate a document.

This mode lets you interact directly with the AI, in a flexible, intuitive and jargon-free way. It understands what you write to it, even in a very simple way, and responds to you in context, based on your documents, activated legal sources, and previous queries.

It's the ideal tool for :

  • ask a legal question based on a document
  • have a clause or passage analyzed or summarized
  • get a reformulation or suggestion for improvement
  • write a basic contract, a letter or a quick note
  • exploring legal reasoning from a specific case

The Assistant mode functions as a responsive and versatile working partner. If the task is too structured to be carried out directly here, it will direct you to the most suitable workflow.

Workflows mode

The Workflows mode lets you perform clearly identified legal tasks from guided interfaces, without going through a free prompt.

Concretely, each workflow is a specialized tool, which asks you for the necessary elements (documents, instructions, variables) and then performs a sequence of predefined actions to generate a structured deliverable. It's faster, more reliable, and more reproducible than an exchange with an assistant.

It's also the means by which we now integrate some of Ordalie's older functionalities: what we used to call "Analysis Mode" and "Drafting Mode" are now workflows in their own right.

Basic workflows

🟦 Multi-document analysis

(formerly "Analyze")

This workflow lets you import several documents at once to extract structured information: stakeholders, important dates, contractual objects, sensitive clauses, etc.

The system organizes the results in a clear matrix. You can filter, export, and ask questions directly on the entire corpus. This workflow is particularly suited to:

  • the due diligence review of contracts
  • quick summary of a litigation case
  • the flattening of several sample documents

🛠 Document drafting

(formerly "Write")

This workflow enables you to generate entire documents (contracts, letters, conclusions, proposals, etc.) from a title, a letter or a document. You can also import your own templates, so that the structure and style of the generated document meet your standards. It's a quick way to produce a solid base, which you can then proofread, refine or enrich in the built-in editor.

Other workflows available

We are continually developing other workflows, geared towards very specific and often time-consuming tasks, here are just a few examples:

📅 Chronology of a file

Import a set of documents (correspondence, statements of facts, decisions, e-mails, etc.): the system extracts all the dates of the documents.): the system extracts all dates, classifies them in a chronological table, and automatically links them to their source passages. Very useful for reconstructing a factual sequence without missing anything.

📄 Contractual comparison

Import two versions of a contract: the workflow identifies differences in content, summarizes them by theme or clause, and provides you with a clear table to track changes line by line.

💬 Assisted Negotiation

Import a Word document containing tracked comments or modifications: the system automatically extracts them, classifies them by author or typology, and renders them in an easy-to-navigate table. Perfect for centralizing sticking points in a negotiation.

Workflow mode is accessible from the dedicated section of the interface. It is available to all PRO users, as well as those on trial.

We regularly add new workflows based on feedback from the field and business needs. If you have a recurring use case in mind that you'd like to automate, don't hesitate to let us know: we can custom-design one very quickly.
